Honda CR-V 2012
The Honda CR-V is one of the most successful SUV in the embattled middle class. Honda introduces the next generation of the VW Tiguan’s competitors and Mercedes GLK by the IAA.
End of the year will bring the Japanese, the fourth generation of its CR-V in the U.S. market. His character has to keep the new-generation CR-V compared to its predecessor. Clearly visible is that the crossover will get increasingly urban terrain features. The front is less rugged than before, and the taillights make for a memorable rear design. Already the two previous generations had struck against the competition preferred soft tones and were able to get around the world so particular as a lifestyle estate cars with light SUV qualities a name. The CR-V launched in 1997 as an SUV. What remains are from the generation I almost just a generous amount of space and time all-wheel drive.
Whether the new one will also remember how far have a mandatory four-wheel-drive on board or whether it will provide him with pure front-wheel drive is still not officially known. But there are many indications. Also, a hybrid version may be only a matter of time. At first glance, the new Honda CR-V more dynamic and more elegant than its predecessor. This impression owes the study of their lower body lines and gently flared wheel arches. Even the big wheels and fender flares add to the dark sporty impression. The front view is dominated by the powerful front skirt. It framed the bumper down the thermoformed underride protection. Under the hood is a modern and efficient generation of engines are used. Overall, the forms have been slightly smoothed, and the whole appearance of the CR-V is something more pleasing. The crossover does not as leggy as ever.
The production model is not an unlikely place at the Frankfurt Motor Show, but first of 22 to 25 September at the Orange County International Auto Show in Anaheim, California, are shown to the public. The market launch in the U.S. is planned for later this year. 2012, the new CR-V is then also in the European car dealerships.
